Ok, so I was browsing through the PHP-forums here, and saw that quite many post their php-source code for help. And itīs just plain, boring text.
So I thought: What about coloured text? That there was syntax-highligthing like in Dreamweaver, notepad++ and others. I would for sure find it way more easy to help if I could seperate the code if it had colour. <_<

Not sure if they make such a plugin for IPB... when I get some time I'll take a peek ;)

They had lots of errors with this mod and I haven't seen any forums on V2.1.4 using this, am also not 100% how secure this would be as it allows html tags and that's currently disabled to members here because of the risk.

Dan if I was you I'd take this over to http://www.ipsbeyond...orums/index.php and suggest a Mod or something to be done by Invision itself to be added into the WYSIWYG Editor.

And you can do all of this without that anyways if html is enabled but enabling that for this Forum is a huge risk because some nutter can come along and post in all sorts of weird scripts and kill the forum.

I use a mod at invisionize at my own site and it is 2.1.4. I havn't had any problems with it as it just adds colouring and PHP-formatting to a php tag. The mod wan't the one which was posted here, but made by Dean. http://mods.invision...ndex.php/f/5955. I am not 100% sure that it does colour the code. But I think so. Just thought I should post this. But as Donna said, an official mod by IPB to the WISYWIG would be much better.

What about just screenshotting the code in notepad++ and posting it as an image, that would stop getting wierd mods with holes, and wont take much time, sure its plain, but you can easily just copy and paste into your text editor and have the syntax highlighting
