Im pretty damn comfortable with my modeling skill, and usually my modeling gets killed by my crap renderings so i decided to learn some rendering, i bought quite a few training dvds from the good folks at digital-tutors.com i followed thier video verbatim for memorixation purposes and i came up with this, rendered in mental ray for maya.if you use maya, i recommend them btw.

Towards the back of the bowl there is a "mystery light". That blue atmospheric look fade coming up the rear edge is the one I'm talking about.
