Well I spent about 15 hours (straight) on this:

-about 2 hrs on the nose concept
-about 2 hrs on the eye concept
-about 30mins on the lip concept
-about 1 hr on the hair concept

And then the rest of the time refining /shading it and adding details. I used a magazine as reference (looked at the models in it to see how the contours on the face changes when you smile etc) other than that everything was freehand.

Most shapes are 1 or 2% :) And there are a lot of layers.

Hot damn, that's fantastic work. I love 80's pop style, great job. The only thing that I don't like is the hair, it look too static and plain; not enough color contrast.

Still, it's a fantastic vector! Job well done. :(

I just wish I could buy Illustrator. :( Saving up for C4D (with student discount).

I'd take Illustrator over C4D anytime, speciously since I know how to use it.

Looks great! yea, adding a few different shades into the hair would be nice, but other than that its really great! good work!

just woundering what is that outline image is? ive seen other people post it with their vectors. is it just all the lines that you used to make the picture? to show how detainled you made it.
