Has anybody come across a techique for doing this in MX 2004?

As you can tell by the picture, the temp scoll button is sitting on a curve, i want it to scroll the text down when the user holds down the button, and drags it down.

I'm not great on AS so something simple (for someone simple) would be great.

Help me obi-wan-kenobi.
