php compiler? php dosent need to be compiled.

If you mean editor though, it totally depends on what you like. I myself use notepad, but I know alot of people who prefer a program that actually highlights the code for you...so, what are you thinking of?

I use notepad, why download something when you dont necessarily need it.

Some people like to use a tool that automatically cleans the code, provides debugging or that highlights certain things. I too use notepad though, since it loads so quickly and since I'm kinda too lazy to get used to other programs. Anyway, you just gotta look around and see what you like best.

If ur going to download it, go for crimson editor, its amazing. However I stick with notepad.
