hey guys, i am currently working on a new project and i seem to have a small rendering problem. at teh begining fo my model finalRender Stage - 1 for 3dsm was rendering perfectly as it should be, but one day, i tried to render a test render with all the object visible in my scene and it will start processing and stuff but all it will render out is a black color, which is the set background. now i switched to mental ray, and it renderer perfectly with the same setting as finalRender, anti-aliasing enabled, and then i tried vRay it also renderer. then at first i thought the renderer got bugged so i opened a brand new file, comepletely new scene and made a simple sphere object and made a simple texture, tried to render with finalRender witht he same settings as my model i was trying to render and it worked. then i thought to myself that the file was corrupt or soemthing, so i opened a new document and merged my original model with the newly created doc and then i tried to render again, but it wont work... now wtf is that suppose to be, i am completely thrown off. it might be someting from the geometry but i dont believe so cause few days earlier everything was being rendered perfectly and all i have added was few cylinders to my model

pleasee help me, i love my finalRender Stage-1 and would like to use it in my final product

thnx in advance

PS: sorry for the big essay and stuff :o

it could be anything dude. anything from a material to an object could be causing the error.

personally i have no experience with finalrender and as far as i have seen none, or next to none, of the regular posters on this forum have any either (apart from yourself obviously).

my best piece of advice to you would be to go to either a finalrender specific forum, or even the official finalrender forum, and ask this question there. you might find it is a common problem and just a bug in the program, that some of the more experienced finalrender users would be able to help you with quite easily...

i wish i could go to the finalRender forums, but u know users sometime cant due to various educational reasons, ill see what i can do, prolly try to hide and freeze various objects, see which geometry in the scene is causing the problem
