Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm looking for a tutorial on how to make a PICTURE fade out and all i have been able to find is making shapes fade in or out, i have flash mx so i dont have alot of the cool tools i would like.

same procedure as for shapes

- convert the image into a symbol and create your fade animation...

Click on the picture, hit F8 and convert it to either a graphic or movieclip symbol. Then you can alpha fade it with motion tweens for your fading effect like you would any other Flash object :)

thx i knew that part i guess but my problem is finding the alpha selection other than in the color mixer. When i use the color mixer alpha selection it just aplies to the paintbucket(which never works in my program anyway :) ). Where would i find it in MX?

Should just be in the object properties box at the bottom just above the actions docker.
