Hi, I made this website template. I would like to use it, but since I'm not familiar with this way of making websites I don't know how. I Would like to use it with dreamweaver mx. But when I use it as a background immage, it keeps repeating itself. Pls !! someone tell me how I use this as my website background in a proper way. !!!

Thx in advance !

i dont mean to pop your bubble... but thats kinda the whole point of a background image. To just repeat itself as a background... i would reccoment you tackle this problem by either:

making your table a fixed size
dont put as much stuff in
make the image bigger, so when your table does expand.. it will look good

well I've been scrolling these forums for a bit and I read things about cutting your img, in segments. I guess thats how I have to do it. But I have no clue how ...

background-image: url(images/bg.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat;

use css, and put that

or simply use background="images/bg.gif" style="background-repeat: no-repeat;" in the code for your background image..

I sliced It now. Got it in dreamwever and looks ok when I look at the preview. But I can't find a way to start typing on my slices.

Ah, your in the same boat as me good friend, I realised, that i could not type either, I am kind of betting that you still have your image that is the BG, set as the foreground too. if you remove it as foreground, and leave it as only BG, you should be shibby do to go:D

TRY USING fireworks macromedia -- u might find it easier in slicing for making website layouts. :blink:
