If it absolutely requires you to be 18+, ask your parents for help.

Yeah that's probably something more better then me killing myself, it's faster. And your parent's won't also kill you after they find out us doing something they say it's illegal. It's hard to me to explain to my parents the whole website money making online game, hah. Tell me, no seriously how do you tell a parents about what you want when you can't describe stuff when you're 12?

Most companys that pay you to advertise for them (ex.adsense) require you to be atleast 18 years old. Im 16 so is there anything I can do other than wait till im 18?

Poor you, and you have to wait 3 years. Well I guess I'm should kill myself first, I have to wait guess how long 6 years, I'm 12 in a half. And already dying. So many site's now in days require "18 and up," crap. That sucks, and I can't get paypal till I'm 18?

You may be able to sign up to pay pal (I don't really remember if there were stated age requirements, dad signed up for me) but you sure can't use it until you connect a credit card to it and the account holders name should be the same as the credit card holders name, which generally means... you have to be 18 or get parental permissions.[/quote]

That isn't true at all...
Now, I don't know the specifics to paypal and all, but I have a paypal account and I am 17 y/o...
I signed up for it when I was 16...
and I know for a fact that you do not need to have a credit card or equivelent to use paypal...
I had the account linked to my bank account...
When I want to add money to my paypal accout it comes straight out of my bank account... (takes 5 days for me tho... lol)

I have been using the account for ages, and I haven't had any problems (except when I didn't have enough cash in my bank account).

I live in Queensland, Australia, if it makes any difference.

You have to be 18 for things like this because minors cannot be in contractual agreements with somebody. Also, minors cannot be taxed and most companies have to file any payments they send you on their taxes with your SSN.

I suggest, getting your parents help you. I've done it for 3 years now and now I'm finally " of age "

Good luck.

Edit: Following quote is from the Pay Pal User Agreement!

There's the key statement in the TOS for what I assume is PayPal. Generally, under 18 can not enter into legally binding contracts in the U.S.

Tighten your bra and just say your 18...

I've always had a paypal account, just make sure you keep your wits about you. Example when I transferred to a premier account they asked me AGAIN how old I was, I nearly put in 17 but changed it quickly.

Got my dad to hook me up, haha as long as I give ad space and sell his shit, then he pays my hosting (for now) and paypal account.

(I'm previously 16, now 17 this past may) But have been doing it since I was 14/15ish.

I'd ask a parent, but if your really desperate, keep your wits and say your 18. Just dont be S.T.U.P.I.D. If you know what I mean :)

Halo recently told me that you don't have to be 18 to have a Yahoo account...

Dan

But you have to be in the US, which sucks for the rest of the world.

For adsense I just get them to make the payments to my parents bank account and signed up in my parents name. Then my they just give me the money when it comes :g[1]:

It's so much easier than this you guys!
To start off with, how many websites exist that advertise/sell things? i guarantee you that about 1/3rd do not pay taxes and that an even larger amount are not registered as businesses!
secondly why use paypal. or electronic transfers at all? checks and money orders work great, and you usually don't need anything but a bank account and an id to cash a check!
finally....ad sites suck! they don't pay you much, and you lose a lot of it in taxes. so what you should do, is make your own ad rotater, and accept payments of checks & money orders...DONT DO CASH THOUGH!!! you want this to be slightly tracable so that both you & the person/company you're dealing with have the security of knowing they aren't going ot get ripped off.

But, if you're worried about legality/getting caught...don't do that and either wait, or get an adult you trust to help you.
peace

i definately had a paypal account when i was 15, and they caught me when some1 sent me money, i actually didnt know, but they limit your account, you can transfer any money to your bank account, then hope it doesn't close by the time you're 18, lol
