If i remember right, you're semi-new to php, in which case i would not recommend trying to take on a making a shoping cart, with or without a tutorial. The concept of them is rather easy, but when you get down to the code, and security issues, it's hell. Ask tiki, he's ran into quite a few problems (do a forum search, you'll see what i mean).

Also, the only shoping cart "tutorial" i know of is a script that paypal provides to people looking to use their service. I highly do not recommend using it if you don't have a really good grasp of php.

Rc69 stole the words right out of my mouth!
I got an offer just today to make a shoppingcart-system, and I turned it down immediately - It's just too hard!

My advice would be to work quite the lot on news- and other publishingsystems, and really get to know php better. When you've made a really good system with lots of functions, you might be able to do something like that.

Personally I have a few quite good login-systems, news-systems and such, and I probably won't try the shoppingcart-stuff in at least half a year. But good luck if you want to give it a try anyway :P

www.illicitfashion.com Took me four months to build it, so if your on a timeline, I suggest not doing so.

I used these 2 tutorials for some guidance.

we have a tutorial at 13dots: http://www.13dots.co...?showtopic=4607

It's not for beginners, I suggest you use a ready made such as zen cart or something similar since you have little knowledge in this area.

I recommend looking at this for your shopping cart: http://www.pixel2life.com/tutorials/PHP_Co...Shopping_Carts/

Well I guess Donna's link will work I think it is the same as the only tutorial in the SC category any way.

You can also check out this http://www.pixel2lif...oding/Security/ for security stuff.
