Well, i officially have all of my high school credits done, i finished them in college (running start). So now i can start working toward a career, after a while of thinking and talking to teachers, i came up with web development. I am planning on getting an A.A.S ( Associate of Applied Science) ( i think) degree in that, it will probably take me up to 2 years to get it, since i already have 3 courses done, but thats what really interests me now. And i dont have no more time to think of a career, this is the only one that comes to mind and sounds interesting. Apart from this i was also thinking Network engineer. But no.
What do you think about Web development?
A.A.S ?

Well, I never went to college so can't talk much about that but I can say this:
[speech]
None of us can really tell you waht path to take in life because this is something that you need to choose. However we can tell you tps on how to make a well informed decision and how to know which one is the right one.
First, you need to look at your goals and dreams. Think about what you want to do later in life and how much you want it. If you need to right them down in order and try to find a career path that fits that. If you can't find one that fits the career path that you want then try search for another career you're into
Seconds, How much do you like web development? If you like it and you're really good at then this may be good for you. But notice what the jobs consist of and what is required. Besides the fact that you sit in a cubical all day on a computer (Office Space) you need to think if you want to do this for the rest of your life. Will you be happy with this 20 years from now?
Third, Money. Money, Money, Money. Most people say it shouldn't affect you decision but it does. A lot! If you want to have a family, if you want to retire early, if you want to live on a private island or whatever then you need to know the income. It's really hard to think about all these things because you never know how well you will do in this career because people like Bill Gater did awesome and other people, well let's not go there. The point is, make sure you get what you need. If you get lucky you get more then you need.
Those are some of the basic things to look at. There is a lot more that you need to think about but for those you need to ask family and friends about because we don't know you like your family and friends.
Anyway, hope that helped
[/speech]
P.S. If you're really lazy like me and just want to get a cool job the you can always join the Army

Thank you for your reply.
Well, theres nothing else that interests me, except graphics. But its too late for me to get into art, i cant draw hand worth crap. Art is all computer for me. So, web development is for me. But, i'm not quite sure about the sitting in the cubicle, making web sites is usually freelance. Unless i join a company. Thank God if i did have to sit in a cubicle, i have patience. And if i do get this AAS i plan on going for another 2 years to a university and getting a Bachelors in web technologies. I have had a lot of thought about this, and my family and friends cant really help me with this decision.
p.s.
And about the living on the private island, I am going to be a dictator, and you can be my Army general.

It's funny that you should bring this up as I was asking myself the exact same question a few months ago. I came up with:
Make sure you get into something you enjoy; which for me was web design, development and programming so I began applying for the colleges I wanted to go for ( we have to apply a year early ) so I then decided when I looked around to see what basis of development they taught and they had a few that interested me and a few that didn't you can always ask a member of staff what the course entitles.
So just ask yourself what do you want to do?
