Well cats and dogs both have their ups and downs and goods and bads. But just because one dog ate your mp3 does not mean that all dogs will chew on your mp3. Perhaps you were unresponsible and left the mp3 where the dog could reach it.. that there was your first mistake. If i had something that i didnt want my dog to eat i would put it somewhere where he could not find it. So mainly the reason your dog ate it was because of your actions. Now lets say you had a cat.... and that cat is picky and only will eat a certain kind of food.. wouldnt that just piss you off......... Plus a dog can mutilate a cat..... and male cats piss on everything in your house making it smell nasty....

So next time you leave something valubal laying around just remember that it can be lost or stolen or even possibly eaten by your dog.

First of all I put in the middle of my counter that stands about 3 ft high then my dog would have to strech another 1.5 ft into the middle of the counter to reach it, so it was not just laying arround, and secondly I relly dont like ppl who would call some one they dont evne know unresponsible.
And i have never hurd of a picky cat i have had meny cats and they have eaten what i have given them....so it would not piss me off.

If you get them fixed when they are 6 months old they will not ever piss on anything except in there litter box... I grew up with cats as a kid.. I have 2 cats now.. and they are the funnest thing every.. But once my wife and I buy a house I will have a dog too... And cats are just as trainable as a dog, just takes a little more work. My cats are so funny and very good. But cats arent as bad as you think and dogs are just as good, just takes time and work with both. :rubber:

I have to agree with the first response... Expensive items should be put away in a drawer or someplace where a dog can't get at it. Dogs chew on stuff... they don't care how much it cost you. Protecting your stuff is your responsibility, and despite it being left where you thought he wouldn't get it, in the middle of a counter is leaving it "laying around". Keep your stuff stowed away and it won't get mauled.

True,

What i will say.. and probably a biased opinion i love dogs,

I always wanted a dog when i was younger but my dad hated them shitting everywhere lol

Then when my mum and dad split up my mum baught one when she moved to the countryside (Rosie) sheep dog was sooo lovely wee pup

then when i went back to my dads i pure wanted her at my house

Next time i visited my mum the dog was gone :(

Rosie was just 2 young my mum couldnt handle it so shes back with her brother and has grown since

It doesnt matter if i know the person or not.... Just by listening to the story he told me of leaving his stuff lying around for his dog to chew is almost a 100% way to tell if there responsible or not.. If i knew him or didnt know him i can still make and opinion on his actions.

BOO YA ;)

Why punish the dog? Lock yourself in the back room lol - you ever heard of SPCA and cruelty to animals?

Dogs only chew on things out of total boredom and being ignored and left to amuse themselves, I have had dogs all my life and not one has chewed any valuable item I own left out or not.

I miss Suzie, my German Shepherd :D I had to give her away a few months after Corina was born because she was allergic. Sad sad day for me... She was the best dog I've ever owned.
