Second try on my portfolio. This is the 14th design that Ive tried for this, so its been a fairly long process. Anyways, tell me what you think, what needs to be changed, etc. I'm looking for lots of feedback on this.

Site splashpage for flash/html.

Hope to hear lots of stuff about the site.

Jay I went with what you said on the previous version I posted. Pastel green and blue on a light background. I think this one looks a lot better than the last.

Any changes I could make to content layout to make it better?

Its a great start, really easy on the eyes.
As most first designs, it is pretty simple. So im sure you'll make some upgrades. Keep at it, i would like to see more improvments on this.
Sorry for lack of suggestions.

Looks really good but to me it almost seems to bland, maybe try adding some thing in the background and making it more unique. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the input!

I changed the header a bit to look more like the splash page.

Also was playing around with a couple different backgrounds.

Those are the three new ones. I think it bring a bit more life to it with the background. Which one looks the best. Suggestions for a different background?

Any other suggestions?

Doubt it would add too much. Could get the background tile down to a few kb. The extra part on the banner would be probably another fwe kb. So nothing major overall. I can tweak the graphics and the size in photoshop too.

Can you see the flowers in the bg on the first one? Theyre really faint, but I'm not sure if making them more visable would be good or not.

Yah, I can see what you mean there. I'm not planning on the front page to have a ton of info on it. I'll archive the news, sotw and recent work entries. Then the portfolio page will list all of the work that I've done. So hopefully it wont get "over - contented". By the time that can happen, I'll have made a new portfolio design anyways :)
