Writing a tut? LOL, I just got the program. I'm still learning myself...

Thanks for the comments.

Added some wheels to it. The tyre is just something I put on it so there's something there. Need to find a good tutorial on how to create tyres like the one I need. Any idea's someone? Anyone?

you could use a displacement map, but i think the best way to do it would be to model off one section of the treads, and duplicate it around in a circle.

ill look around for some, i found good ones in maya and 3ds but your using c4d correct?

also, i notice your wireframes are extremely low poly... are the renders your showing us poly smoothed with more polys? or are u rendering out the exact same wire? are you planning on modeling interior?

Thanks peeps.

I'm gonna do some of the interior, but not with a lot of detail. The renders are with HyperNurbs turned on.

Thanks for that link Ckris. Used some of that tutorial and some parts of another that used the same method. Thanks for that.

LOL lilman! First thread you wanted to see? There must be something wrong with ya. hahaha See-through windows take a lot of time to render so I've replaced them again with these. LOL

I couldn't get that Wrap deformer to work for me. After some rotating and messing with the settings, I came close to a good solution. But don't ask me to do it again cos I probably can't. Anyway here's the image:

Thanks a lot Xfader!

I finally understand how this Wrap Deformer works... Although I should say: it's doing the things I need.

Here's one of the 4 different types of original tires for the SLR, the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2:

Sorry people, forgot to post my latest image here... :)

I do have to take a break from this Merc project for a while because:
1. I had and still have some actuall work to do
2. I want to do some other things with C4D too.

So I'm gonna try to do a little something with character rigging and animation and the hair module now.

Here is my latest render:

Dirk Black, I promise that when I finish this Merc I'll add a black color to see how it looks. :D

Thanks man, I think it will look awesome, by the way you are the man, your modeling is great, I've tried doing a car and its pretty tricky. You are spot on though and I wish you could bust out some tutorials when you have the time.
