I have a question, i have recently acquired a free flash template for learning purposes and the button has this blue transperant square and it is a button symbol where actionscript is used to define how the button works but i cant figure out how to make this blue transperant square when i try to create a button, and also when i preview the flash movie the blue sqaure is'nt there, could any help me on telling me on how to make this, it would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks
BeTA

the blue square is just a help to see where the hitarea of the button is.
you can create it by pressing CTRL+F8, "Button", create a keyframe (F6) in the hit state.
When you drag that button instance into the stage you will see that blue square.
