When i started modelling in 3D i used ray dream designer (now its called carrara studio),
then i got maya (free with UT 2004 game) but when i opened it, i just freeked out, i hate that "programmers" application.
So yes i like 3DSMax and cinema4D a lot more.
Cinema4D is easier to learn and theres more logic in it, but tbh i started to use 3DSMax again from time to time, cos sometimes i found certain limitations.

zomg... not another one of these threads.

Maya and Max are two of the same kind, both can do exatly the same things, just in different ways, and by different methods...

Its all a matter of opinion.. All i can say is, try both and see which one you like better.
