help, new user with this program

Hi there!

I guess that this is a very simple question i ask. But i'm new with this program, so i'm not very good at it yet :(

when people say "drag your photo your canvas" what do they mean? if i try to drag my picture onto it, it just open at new window in Adobe with the photo i've selected...

In what context?
Do you mean to drag a photo from one file to another, or what?
