I've read http://forums.gfxvoid.com/t-4760.htm like few times (checked layer settings..) and i CAN'T get same effect as that guy got..:

What did i do wrong ? I do have transparent background and than i fill it with black.. and my text i use is black(or maybe white, can't color before i apply all the layer things.. What else could i done wrong ? Maybe text needs to be grey ? What could i done wrong ?

add a color overlay blending style and change the color, see if things come out looking better.

he didn't mention what color to make the text, so its a bad tut to start with...

Why are you asking this here? Ask under the tutorial by the author who wrote it. :rolleyes:

Since its a layer effect, i think the color of the original type doesnt matter, as long as it IS colored.
I normally use grey color, before i start adding a layer effect.

it does matter, unless the styles had a color overlay/grandient overlay.

and if the original text were white, then alot of 'screen' and 'glows' inside the text would be pointless, thus, messing up the effect :tiphat:

same goes with 'darken' or 'multiply' effects with black text.
