my CTRL+CLICK is not working, it doesnt work on any of the 3 machinces i use PS on, so i'm assuming that i am to blame-operator error...please give me some seggestions, i would sure appreciate it. thanks

I know in previous versions of Photoshop you could control + click anywhere on the layer and it would select that layer, but in CS2 I noticed you can't. You have to control + click the little thumbnail on the layer, that little box that shows you what's on your layer. Then it works. I think that's what you're asking about!

He could also be talking about the reverse...

What exactly are you trying to achieve by control clicking on layers? If you're trying to wrap a marquee around everything in the layer, then what Jacorre said is right, in Photoshop CS and above you have to click the layer's thumbnail.

But if you're using control click to select multiple layers, then like I said, any version prior to CS won't allow it and will instead just select its contents.

i'm pretty sure that is the answer he is needing as i was going to say the same before reading ur post haha

pretty annoying sometimes if the "thumbnail" is really small lol
