Ive done this in Corel Draw a long time ago.
Say I use about a 2 inch square on an AI page, how would I get that
to repeat and scale the page? Would it have anything to do with making
a crop box around the object and formatting the cropping box to printer
settings? Which im unsure of, thats just a guess, nonetheless i couldnt
find anything on this.
Also will this cause my images to repeat in the document, or is there
a way to make it only print repeated, so that if I edited the 2 inch square
it will change for all printed parts?

I do have a rather odd solution though:
make the image, make a "pattern" of it.
Make 1 big rectangle the size of your page and fill it with the pattern.
The beauty of this is that you can use the scale , rotate, move etc... tools on the pattern (there an option to check or uncheck in the dialogue box that appears when you alt+click with the tool).
Hope this helps a little
