K...as some of you may have read before, i know ZILCH about PS. I have PS CS now and am trying to learn.

What i want to make is a sig with a watery background to start with. Over the watery background, i would like to have an effect that makes it look like the water is actually rippling or something to that effect, if it is possible.

Im not necessarily looking for someone to make it for me, though that'd be nice, but more along the lines of a step by step tutorial on how to do something.

I use mIRC and you can find me in irc.dynamix.com, #apocalypse, and my name is "mofo". Im there most evenings if you want to chat with me there.

thx in advance.

Try to get Photoshop 7. CS doesn't have all the features that 7 has, AND, 7 is hella better than 8.

I'm going to be beta testing PS 9, so I'll give you guys an inside on how it is. Whenever that is.

Acually, they are near similar.

The only difference i have seen is that CS cannot substitute black as transparent in .TGA files.

So saying 7 is a 'hella' lot better than CS is a fairly ridiculous statment.

7 Doesn't have the Color Replacement Tool, or the Shadow Highlight adjustment, which I both find Very helpful >:|
