That's too close to my homeland, Tsunami warnings are in effect so they're saying but every news story I've read is all saying different things.

Syntex don't go doing anything crazy and go surfing.

Well They have been predicting a Tsunami for us people in Oregon, and supposedly by the time it reaches Downtown it will put it under 30 feet of water.
The environmental guy told us to look at a mountain, and all the way up to a certain point there are 0 trees, then you go above that line and their are trees. He said thats because 100 years ago a tsunami hit and it went as high as that line, and like killed the trees and no more has grown back or something :P

you know for some reason...if the science center simulation is accurate, a 6.5 isnt strong at all, just shaky yea things will fall but you can still walk around safely as long as things dont fall off on you lol. We had a 5.5 during school once and we had to wait outside, ground was shaking but it was easy to stand up, not sure what an 8 might feel like though ;P

They cancelled the Tsunami warnings not long after I posted, we used to get quite a lot when I lived in New Zealand, 14,000 earthquakes in and around New Zealand each year is normally recorded. You never get used to them they are very scary and when you see the ground rippling underneath you it's really an experience you never quite forget. I hate them
