i made it with PS CS and a couple of tutorials i found here. The tutorials kinda assume alot of basic knowledge that i didnt have, but it was fun making it. Let me know what yall think, how can i improve it etc.

I made one similar a while ago but it was more cartoony.

Pretty Good, I think the blue planet needs to be a bit sharper and clearer though.

the blue planet is just a blurred cloud effect shaped to a sphere. I'll size it down and make it more crisp...i just thought that blur would help the 3d look.

That was something I didnt pay to much attention to the first time, but hes right. The size of the planet and the position it is in the picture it should be focused in. The planet is your focal point in that picture. Just a thought.

If you fix that, Im sure it will be kick butt... :ph34r:
