XAMPP is an easy to install Apache distribution containing MySQL, PHP and Perl. I also have PHP Designer 2006 which should work with XAMPP. Packaged with XAMPP is PHPMyAdmin, which I've used many times before, however when I setup a database and a table in XAMPP (in PHPMyAdmin) I try using PHP code to interact with the database in which doesn't work. Here are the settings from PHP Designer 2006:

Server path: http://localhost
Local server path: C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\
Port: 80

Can anyone help me?

I would recommend using Uniform Server more, it is a much smaller package and does not require installation, U just run 1 file and everything works.
