its actually pretty easy, you just make a box and make editable and start extruding the top surface, every little ways rotate it a little and start to shrink the polygon size, aim it where you want to go, in this case I made it wrap around itself and then eventually back down to the base, then just through on a bhodinut wood texture, messed with the settings like color and raised up the roughness and specular.. I could try doing a tutorial but I'm not sure exactly what I did for the surface and I didnt save the c4d file..
