How does Paypal work? Do I need to pay paypal anything? Give anyone my bank details? I would like to setup a donation service.

If you want to become a verified/trusted user or be able to accept credit cards you'll need to give them your bank/credit card details.

The same if you want to get a PayPal ATM/Debit Card you need to be verified.

You can just use it normally but they cut you off once the account gets to a certain amount I cannot recall what that amount is now but am sure if you read via the signup pages they'll tell you.

If users send you money Paypal does take a very small percentage, for you to pay out is free.

So it wont really cost me anything? It would cost the people whom donate? Even if I live in another country from US, in New Zealand. How does it work? Does the money that has been donated stack up until I choose it to go into a bank account, or something similar.

Paypal will take a percentage of what's paid to you.

It's very well explained on the site https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=x...sPayPal-outside
