Well, that sucked... P2L down overnight.

Looks like the site was dead all night :bashhead:

The server went down lastnight and I had to leave, but the host was looking into it. It would appear they got the box back up and running, but didn't check to see if the site was actually working, which of course it wasn't... MySQL was corrupt. So, no one could access the site until I just now ran a repair myself.

My apologies folks, I'll be making sure at least one other person has access to run the repair and I reminded our friends at Serverseed that they should double check the site after a crash, so hopefully this doesn't happen again for so damn long.

yeah, i couldnt get to it last night for quite some time....but then it came back,and i was happy ^_^

I believe we've narrowed this down to a filesystem error tripping the server up. Monitoring the box for any future issues. We've also set up a more sophisticated third party uptime check on this server, which checks for HTTP content rather than an HTTP connection.

Should not recur ^_^

We are going to be performing general maintenance including a kernel recompile tonight. The window for downtime is 12:30-1AM Eastern.

Just looked at MySQL stats since we moved to the new box and tweaked the cfg accordingly - you should see better performance now too.

yeah over-night was over-day for me :D
There was this other forum i usually whore, which also had mysql problems at the same time, so i was actually checking if the problem wasnt on my side, even tho they were all mysql errors ;) lol

Should be just about good to go, we've been seeing two different issues. I know one of them is solved, and maintenance tonight should go a long way to solving the other one.

Well serverseed hosts my site, and ive never had any problems, performance is good too. So i guess its just P2L with the miss fortune at the moment.

Im sure it will all be sorted soon. :(
