Hey everybody. I have been wanting to make myself a custom Sig for sometime now. I found this website, and I am blown away by all the awsome Sigs. I am very Sig envy. I am trying to get an idea but nothing is coming, I tried siting down and thinking what I am into. And so far all I have is a document that is 400 x 200 that has the chinese symbol for Snow. I was wondering if any of you Awsome sig makers can give me pointers, or tips. Also what progy's you useing. I tried using both Photoshop and Fireworks. Please give me some feedback.
BTW go here to check out some old sigs I made. No were as good as these. butt -http://www17.brinkster.com/adio38/mylogostext.htm

i like the logo's you have created, you need to start working on a bit bigger canvas's maybe start working on 400 x 100 then start working on 500 x 140. If you want some good tips try getting used to photoshop, find out what it has to offer you. Get a really big canvas and start messing around with filters an brushing. Then once you get the know how of photoshop. Start getting used to brushing and layers. Find out what layers are. Look at tutorials but emphasise from it, not just copy everything it says, do more to the image/canvas. If you really want to become good try learning how to brush in each layer, when you learn that you will be able to learn the blending options. You need to takwe it one step at a time.
all the luck.....
