Hey guys, I am trying to figure out a way to make a system like youtube has, where you can upload .wmv files (and other video types) and they would play in a flash player.
Does anyone have any idea of how to make one of those?
Thanks. TRM.
Play wmv in flash on websites?

you would have to use Macromedia Flash or some flash programme. Then import that wmv file on there and then export it into swf file.

good luck with that
if you import your asf/wmv file into flash your SWF filesize will be as big as the WMV file itself and even more, not really a good idea.
youtube and google video are using a SDK made by the creators of the FlashVideoCodec (on2VP6) http://www.on2.com
Though the sdk is not available (for normal people) you can still manage to do it manually, by using the built-in flash video encoder (delivered with Flash 8 Pro)
