Well my wife and I went to Antelope Island. For everyone that is wondering where that is, it is located in Utah. It is an island in the Great Salt Lake. We got to see many different animals while we were there. Here are a few photos of some of the different ones we saw.

Here are a few California gulls.

They all look very good :) , but I think with a little bit more editing, they would look even better!

Thank you Xfader. I avoid editing my photos for one reason. So that I can get the largest possible print. Being a nature photographer is hard sometimes. Trying to get in as close as you can without scaring away your subject is hard. That's one reason I purchased my 100-400mm lens recently. It sure helps.

Best Regards,

Jason :)

Yes your right, but when you crop it some the over all size is cut down. So instead of me being able to get a 30x40 print. Now I've croped it down and I might be able to get a max of 16x24. That's why I don't crop them. I want people to see what they will get when they purchase them.

I have had special orders where a person asks if I can crop a photo some, and I do explain to them I will only be able to have it printed a certain size max.

Thanks again for your comments. :D

Best Regards,

Jason :D

I don't understand the problem, Canen Art, if you just NOT crop the images, there is no problem at all, is there ? You can also edit images without cropping :) .

You can but it's must better to crop them, all the best ones I print are always cropped. I know what Jason means maybe your misunderstanding him.

Love the blacknwhites Jason.

I think the first black and white one would look more interesting in colour, as then you could see the colours of the birds spread wings, but saying that in black and white it is still effective as then its down to the person viewing the photo to choose what colours they think it would be.

And in the last black and white one i really like the outline of the mountain in the back of the image, adds a lot more depth into the photo which makes it really cool.

Great job!

Matt
