[SimplicityDesigns]

I'm designing a website for a downtown group, and I want to make a photo background, like the one seen here. It needs to fade into a solid color.

I already have my picture, about 1300px wide. The main focal point is in the center. I can't figure out how to center the image no matter what size the browser is so that that focal point is always in the center (even with the Bookmarks sidebar showing). Does anybody know about this?

I'm using HTML and CSS.
