Rate the layout of my site please. There are no other pages I am currently adding teh content but I'd like to know if I could ameliorate anything in my layout.

yeah, watch out with your background, it makes (large) texts hard to read.

You're probably better off with solid color backgrounds or, at least, a little less grunge. That should make the texts easier to read.

Also, you may want to add some padding on to your content tables so the text isn't riding on the edges of the images.
Personally, go with a diferent font for the text, too. Never thought that one was very eye friendly.

The design is a little cluttered, too. (Like the crossbones and that symbol next to welcome should be shrunken down a little)

I actually liked the site untill the background were the text loaded up I think you should just change that to a solid color then it looks alright!

too much grunge on the text, makes hard to read
also, too much images and non-contrast of the text with the background

i would change the borders... espcially if you plan on having different size text boxes.

I think the site looks cool. I really like the design. I can't see any text within the boxes though.

Things I'd change:

I'd perhaps make the "Thomasplus" header a bit more readable, like a more contrasting colour. Or just make the T look more like a T.


I'd move the "Affil" box underneath the nav buttons on the left to allow more space for the main content area cos it looks a bit small.

I'd get rid of the advertisment thing too cos I hate adverts. He he.

I'd make the copyright information in the lower right more readable. Virtually impossible to read it at 1280x1024.

Other than that it looks good.
