So does anybody here use GTalk on a daily or semi-daily basis?
If so, my account is ryanbarr@gmail.com

I use MSN for friends and mIRC to meet old friends
I think every messenger got it's own special funcion
for exemple: MSN messenger is full of crap like winks and emoticons, not good for a business talk for exemple... Gtalk is diferent, you may easly use microphone and have a cleaner talking

you could just use yahoo for talking with a microphone though its still good and clear aslong as the person speaks clearly and not like an old pentioner lol

Last i heard, most GMail updates only appear when you have your language set as English US.

I have downloaded google talk before to see what it's like - but I prefer MSN (or WLM), that's probably because I'm immature and although I disabled nudges/winks I love my custom emoticons and colorful fonts

it's pretty much just a rehash of Jabber, which i believe has been around awhile. In fact, that's how you use GTalk if you use Trillian, with the Jabber plug-in/protocol.
