Hey,
Do you ever get the feeling for say a week that you are highly un-motivated and just cannot be assed with what you do well I have had this for a while now and I thought, fine sack it i'll go out and just forget about it for a while, but that night I had the biggest urge to get my portfolio and blog up so now I have re-started the design and re-joined any forum I left while I was un-motivated.
I hate the fact that as soon as you move on and want to do something else for a while that it comes back and hits you in the face :'(
Thanks for listening to my rant
I will enjoy your feedback

Just take minute breaks here and there when you're working on something and you may find that your enthusiasm for working on projects to increase dramatically.

If I ever have important work to be doing but a lack of motivation to do it, I force myself to just do five minutes work. Sitting down and doing five minutes work is easy, and doesn't require motivation. What's more, after the five minutes is over it's very easy to continue for an hour or more.

I agree with the breaks only they turn into hour breaks and then sleep lol. Mag I do, do 5 minute working but if i'm not motivated and inspired then I couldn't work it up to the best of my ability.

What i really think works is just to go for a walk around your block, it may sound like its a common idea but it really does work, i use to get this a lot around my exam times and trust me just go for a walk, with a dog if you have a pet

Walk around my block = run round Denton with a flock of chavs chasing me lol. I usually walk my dogs but I have 3 and they get really hard to manage.

unplug your PC, remove all electronic devices from your room, and find a good book to read on motivation lol

My advice - Go outside, and unplug for a few weeks as Donna said. Its what i do. (girlfriends always handy for that lol)

I like the walk idea, and it sounds like your dogs could use more walks regularly. But I am one to talk, I have no less then 3 typos on my front page, and a few others on my about, which includes I actually typod my age(!?) and I've known about this for like two weeks and do you think I can get my ass in gear to spend the 2 minutes it would take to correct this? No.. Spend an average of an hour on P2L everyday? Sure!

I get it and loose it in bursts, I'll work on something for two hours and I'll put it down fro the rest of the day, then right around bedtime I decide to work on it till 4am and then get up at 5:30am to go to school...
