Everytime i go to render something in 3DS it runs for a few seconds then i get an error message saying something along the lines of "Raytracer does not have enough memory to form data structures." and then the rendering stops. so basically i cant render anything. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks in advance

Apart from RAM there is also virtual memory to the computer. If it is used up the software cannot run. Try changing the display driver by going to Customize menu ---- Preferences ------ Viewport tab. In the display drivers area click choose driver and change the driver. Restart max. If this does not work contact the dicreet team at www.autodesk.com/3dsmax/

hit F10 and uncheck everything under the raytracer tab and render away!
