shouldnt have got an OEM version cos you have to activate it and you can only use it on that one computer, if you dont activate it your product lisence lasts 30days and if you have to install it again after activating you have to ring up microsoft for a new activation code its stupid ive done it already

What in the HELL are you talking about?
I have had OEM software before and never had any problems... I am buying a brand-new version of XP Professional from Savastore and obviously I have to activate so Microsoft know that it's genuine.....

yes thats exactly where i got my OEM version from and the non OEM version which is like £233 you dont need to activate is what im saying, with the OEM you have to re-activate it everytime you install it on your pc and when adding new hardware you have to enter your activation key

Weird... the non OEM versions that I bought of XP Pro and installed (200 licensed copies) all required activation after they were installed.

The only windows edition that doesn't require activation is the corporate edition. (meant for work places etc).
Ever heard of Linux DanW lol
. A temporary solution at least.
