Just thought I would get some opinions from all of you forum-goers.
What type of online service, or website would you like to see in the future of the internet?
What type of websites do you currently visit? A list would be nice.
Thanks for all your time to those of you who read.

Just moved this back to general... this was actually a topic I suggested Halo to post as a general discussion about the services you rely on the net for.

I count on the net for banking, news and weather (cbc.ca) pretty much daily.

I usually just browse for internet stuff, it would be cool to have a site that lets you build a custom computer and then gives the average prices for that custom computer at different resellers :)

Well I was thinking of a site where you could find everything you needed. From legal help to illegal files, :P. I was thinking something like www.all.com but it looks like somebody else already had that idea, and is currently making the site. :D

How about a site with a ton of tutorials, and a huge community-oh hey wait a sec... :P

A site with almost everything sounds cool, yet impossible as well. Maybe something that is packed full of features, yet still easily accessible. No huge masses of links all over. Local weather, news reports, RSS feeds, search engine, you know - the whole Google thing. Beat them at their own game!

I use the internet mainly for communicating with people, be it my friends from college who live quite a bit away, too friends who live all over the world. Like Dan I am use it for news and weather updates also using it too look up jobs e.g. local photographers who need an assistant just general stuff like that really.

Well what I would like to see is my project finished and like Donna said get rid of stuff, e.g. porn, website thats are just filled with adverts and so on, you get the idea.

So maybe create a website that takes down useless websites, that would be good.

What would be usefull is a website to that would go through your favorites and tell you which ones are no longer up lol, I went through my favorites one day for example I picked the folder called photoshop and when to all the sites 3/4 of them were gone!

i don't know, really the internet has everything i will ever need it for. Everything has been done, no matter how original you think your idea is there are probably at least 10 others like it. there are over 100 sites dedicated to bread.. there are endless blog sites, wine sites, even ant web cam sites. You name it they have done it.

Theres always room for improvement though. :P

So here is a partial part of my list

Yahoo.com is my homepage, it's also my NO:1 search engine, I use it as I get better results than any others even google cannot compare to it. I use yahoo daily

I visit a huge list of forums daily/weekly

13dots (admin)
pixel2life (admin) here lots
tutorialfx (Co-Admin)
skinbydragonfly (admin)
swish-db (honored member so I found out today :P - I used to be on staff there)
neowin
/forums.swishzone.com
web hosting forums
flashkit
sitepoint
wow-factor
swishtalk forums
the list goes on and on  but they are my main ones.

subbed to a few RSS feeds but you can only have so many before they become annoying.

news.com.com - awesome site for uptodate info as it happens

digg - but not too much anymore the comments on some are just Posted Image not keen on all the lookalikes popping up all over either I find them all the same just a mass of links to other sites.

Adobe.com , always pop over to see whats new
photoshopsupport.com/photoshop-blog/ - great site and people behind it.

========

My wishlist to see sites shut:

hacking sites that post up how to hack sites especially when a vunerability is first discovered.

sites like bugmenot should go

all the porno garbage

The web has turned into a polluted smog hole, full of viruses, exploits, phishing scams, rippers, spammers in the millions now. Be nice to see it cleaned up in future years and make it a lot safer than it is now.

How would you go about cleaning up the web I mean there is millions of sites but it would be pretty neat if it could happen! Get like a company of like a 100 people to do it daily that would be sweet!
