Pixel Art Problem

Hello

I am trying to create sme pixel art images in photoshop, i have created my outline and now trying to fill it in. using the paint bucket, when i click to fill area nothing happens, does anyone have any idea, why?

i ave just tried to change the colour of a diffent image using the bucket tool but it would not fill the area any ideas?

Is your layer visible? Have you tried selecting the area and then filling it in? Could you provide a snapshot of what you're doing?

the image i am trying to colour is on one layer and is just an outline for an image

sorry no example at the moment

Is your image text? Like did you use a font that's actually an image and you're trying to add color to it?

Nope it was a basic image as seen here >>>

The image on the right i was trying to colour but instead i had to use the pencil tool to create the left imag pixel by pixel rather thanbeing able to fill the larger areas.
