Cant fill layer

I am trying to fill areas with the bucket tool but nothing happens

an ideas?

Need a bit more detail (e.g. screenshot) but try using the select tool to select areas.

Check you selected the correct layer, and make sure the layer you are filling is not below a layer that is covering it up.

Thats all i can think of atm.

i have tried differnet images and as a test i just opened a new window and tried to fill the blank canvas and that wouldnt work, have checked layers on other images

hmm, ok, photoshop problems aren't my specialty (im a coding guy lol) but you could try checking if the layers are locked and if the opacity on the fill tool has become lowered.

Do you get a message or does it just not work?

just doesnt work,

opacity had been lowered, my fault cheers
