Can someone explain or direct me to an explantion of how to use permalinks for a site.
A permalink as in domain.com/directory/something-something/

like wordpress...

how could i use permalinks for my site.

Calm down a little coolaid. I belive a permalink is no different then a link, but the best advise i can offer is to google it and see if you come up with anything that says otherwise.

Can i take a wild guess, and say that your achual question should be about how to use mod_rewrite?

So your url is like: domain.tld/something/number/soemthing_again_ha
