I got a new laptop and form buttons look weird...not sure why.

Anyone know how to make them look the way they are supposed to?

In this picture, you can see the login button looks like something out of windows ME where as on my desktop computer, it displays normally. Any ideas?

I think its to do with the styles you have been adding to the forms. Try and remove the styles then test again.

no no, i have not added any styles to anything...this is what i see on forms on other sites. For example, on P2L, at the top, where you press the down arrow to select the category for a tutorial search, it appears different (like the style in the picture I provided) than on my desktop, where it looks like a regular form button. The same goes for every other website that has a form button, or drop down menu or anything of that sort.

any ideas?

Could be a manufacturer change. Try re-applying the windows xp theme.

Question is, are you using IE, FF, opera, or something else for your browser?
If it's IE, open up your internet options, go to the advanced tab, and check/uncheck the "Enable visual styles on buttons and controls in web pages" option.

Well, he's sorta luck actually. I was looking through there the other day because i had a problem, and happened to notice/remember that particular one.
Having done work with visual styles on my comp, and being a web developer, it just sorta stood out.

As for why it has that option, i couldn't tell you, my best guess would be because some people might not like the way the XP style buttons look on websites.
