This may be really easy to fix, but ive followed every tutorial on this site for fading text, and the fade works when i scroll through the movie in the development area, but when i export or preview, it does nothing. Am I missing something..?

Crash Course on Fading text in and out:

1. go to frame 1 of the timeline, write your desired text using a static text box
2. select the text and press F8, convert it into a graphic
3. go to frame 30 of the timeline and press F6 to create a keyframe
4. go to frame 1, select the text, go to the properties panel and select alpha from the dropdown, set it to 0
5. go to frame 10, again create a keyframe (F6) go to the properties panel and select alpha from the dropdown, set it to 100
6. Do the same on frame 20, alpha 100
7. on frame 30, select the text again and choose Alpha 0
8. select the first 3 keyframes, right-click and choose motion tween

you're done...

ok error found

Have you read Step 1 of my short tut?
You used a dynamic text box, no fear it also works with that one, but you need to embed the font, and then it will work.
