This is my entry for a logo competition in my city for the 2006-2007 Celebration Johnstown! logo. It is a New Years celebration that is held in the city, and every year they have a logo competition. Here is last year's entry:

I'd like to know how you think mine compares with last year's winning entry, and what I could do to improve mine. I tried to incorporate a family theme, though without the third person, it doesn't really work right I guess. There's also a Johnstown Chiefs hockey game, and fireworks display. Your feedback is much appreciated. Thanks.

Wow, um its practially impossible to even compare last year's to yours..definitely a step up.

I really like how you did the fireworks on the logo, looks great to me and I would not be surprised if you won, taking into account last year's winnner. Not really sure how you could improve the piece, looks good to me.

good luck!

Thank you sir. I used one brush stroke from a fireworks pack from DA, but that's not against the rules. The competition ends sometime in the middle of August so I have plenty of time to improve. =)
