Ok i have made a Flash Myspace profile and EVERYTHING works on my pc. But when I upload it and view it on myspace, none of the links work! the cursor comes up showing that its a button, but nothing happens after you click. here is the code I am using
on (release) {
getURL("http://mail.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=mail.message&friendID=90413541", "_blank");
}

I have tried it as a movieclip and as a button, but nothing happens. any help please?

Since myspace made everyone download the new Flash Player 9 update and myspace forces the AllowScriptAccess="never" code links dont work and will never work untill one of the two, adobe or myspace, changes something or updates something...


For now all you can do is find a domain (free or paid) and make a redirect (without flash) to the domain from your myspace so that all links work and no adds...

or make a flash profile with no links in it and have the contacting links obove your profile in html

make sure you search first i had a post like this maybe a couple days ago...

I dont understand what you said. I have no problems with the new flash player, the links work on my myspace. FlashPlayer 9 has a bug where it doesnt allow the "_self" command to work, mostly in firefox ive noticed this. BTW it takes a while for an swf file to update after u add another one over it, make sure u changed the name and the code that brings it onto ur page.
