hey, i need sum help and it requires moving animated text. the theory is i want say my name, parks. i want the p to show first, then the a, then the r, k,then finaly the s. so my name is appearing a letter at a time. then on another project, i want the p to show first, then to dissapear. then the a to show, then to dissapear and so on. once the s has showd, and dissapeared, the word 'parks' then appears as a whole.. any help would be appreciated. thanx

Using Photoshop & Imageready?
If so, I wrote a tutorial a while ago http://www.13dots.co...showtopic=14217
You can also search for 'Animated text' here in Pixel2life.

You can use the first tutorial I gave you. Just add a white frame (hidding all the layers) after the layer where the letter appear. Then repeat for each letter.

In my tut:

myself said:

2. With the first frame selected, set '3','d','o','t','s' layers as invisible (clic over the eye to make a layer invisible). So we have only the '1' layer as visible.

Then, in the next frame, hide the '1' layer, setting its layer to invisible (clic over the eye to make a layer invisible).

myself said:

3. Now, with the third frame selected, make '1' and '3' layers visible.

Repeat for each letter.

And finally, after the last letter (s in your case), create a new frame and set all letters to visible.
If you read the tutorial, you'll get how animation works and then you'll be able to customize it. ^_^
