Okay I have an idea for a site, dunno if I going to do it yet or not, but maybe, anyways, I have been thinking of some designs, but can't get anything I like, here is two that I have just messed around with,

Number One - Number Two

I am not really liking them a lot, but am stuck for ideas, I will probably just end up leaving it for a week and wait for some inspiration to come. Been told they aren't professional enough for the idea of the site so eh back to the drawing board.

I have been playing the flute for 6 years now and I love it, and I am playing the pipe organ as well. I also like to teach other people the in and outs of software such as the CS3 suite from Adobe.

So you want to know which we think is best or advise on what we think you shall use? For the second, that would be easier if you could tell us which type of site it is.

I personally like the first one more as it seems a bit more visually appealing to me. The second just don't get it to me really.

I like the first more also, but those dots on the navigation (just saw them from the screenshot) shouldn't be there. lol. The kind of site it would be is like just well, it would list schools in australia, and jobs aswell that employees submit, and then extras would be the articles, tips and things like that.

Just really need some direction, ideas, how to improve, the usual ya know lol.

I do think that the first one is the better of those two for that kind of project. It just seems to be more living instead of the other one being a bit "dead".

the first ones more unique, but unorganised, good use of fonts and colours though.

The thing that is putting me off the most is the boxes up the top. So any ideas on how I could change that you think?

Maybe get rid of the boxes altogether, and have Featured design redone and left just above the latest discussion, moving the latest news up (the red font)?

I like both of them
they are really good, but I feel like that featured could be smaller and stay closer to the footer (bottom of the page)

Thanks, the reason feature is up the top is the large green text that section will bee latest article, so quite long, and then they lose their feature aspect.

First one hands down...more organized and better looking overall.
