I have my comps all connected to a router. Is it possible to play LAN games through this?

You can play on a lan without either too. you can daisy chain coax in a loop or terminate at two ends and have a network with no extra hardware...tho it does seem harder to find nic's with coax connectors these days. Still a cheap option if you're going for more than 8 or so pc's on your network. If you're less than 8 just buy a $10 hub and you're set.
