Hi all,
In the past couple of weeks or more, I'm sure you've noticed the MySQL session errors, the small amounts of downtime here and there and other issues. Well, in a way, this is a good sign... it means that the growth of Pixel2life.com has reached a point where the shared hosting environment we were using has simply become obsolete. I had a little chat with Tysoft, owner of Serverseed.com and the server that P2L is hosted on is basically maxing out on MySQL queries and the box is hitting 100% usage on both CPUs. 80% of that is being cause by P2L, the rest from the other sites hosted on this box.
So what does that mean? Well it means we're too damn big for an apartment, it's time to buy our own house! I am finalizing the pricing on our very own server that will be used to run ONLY P2L and will allow for massive amounts of additional growth! There are many benefits to this because I can configure the server any way I choose and the restrictions of a shared environment are lifted.
Off the top of my head, the advanced search features I've wanted to put together can FINALLY be implemented! BOOLEAN SEARCH! Google style searching instead of the exact match currently in use.
So in the next couple of weeks please put up with any additional bumps and glitches while we get ready to move to our new house, and hopefully we'll have some better preformance and better than expected features in the upcoming version 2 updgrade!

yep almost every site now a days have to clantemplates keeps getting same errors and 2 other sites so yeah.

Well, with a dedicated server you should be able to keep the cool graphics and still have good load times, right?
