I tried using this tutorial to get an explosion effect:

The outcome looks awesome, but the explanation gets me lost. I tried every step exactly but the outcome is not even close to what the creator got. Can anyone shed some light please?

Show your outcome and ill comment on it, its hard to say what is done either wrong or can be done better if you cant see nothing at all.
