I'm making my first site ever (yay for me) and i need some opinions on my layout.... im missing the title banner, links underneath that, and the border bars on the sides but this is what i have now and i don't wanna progress if its not good.... thanks much

yeah i just wanted to see a few first opinions before i spent a lot of time on it, ill keep working, thanks a lot for your input, ill post an update in this thread when i get more work done.

Yeah bit hard to say right now, but what you have done so far is alright, greys a bit too dark though.

Still kinda hard to tell. Add some lorem lipsum http://www.lipsum.com/ to fill out the content. I'd also try using a different font for the content text, maybe tahoma or something.

Colors also contrast a little to much. Check out these two sites on color I've bookmarked http://del.icio.us/zealivity5/color if you want you can also browse through the rest of my marks, I have lots of design type stuff marked.

Wow.. From seeing the still image i thought "Erm.. kinda boxy" But seeing it coded etc. I must say, looks likea totally different website.. I love the different color bars etc. Very nice if this is really your first website Very well done my freind.. You'll be a dime one day

Great job I like it alot! Good job on your first site. The only thing I have to say is the purple green and blue are a little out of place, but other than that, I like it!

Very good job for a first, only thing is would change is the oval on the right side of the header.

Thanks so much for all of the nice comments, i agree with the critiques for the most part too. The color combinations may be a bit much, ill tweak and post again when i've changed some things. Thanks again.

heh, this looks almost exactly like one of my first layouts, except mine was blue. I thought mine was really good, but keep making new versions and you will find that every new version it keeps getting better and better.
